Wife of Armenia Prime Minister, “My Step” Charitable Foundation’s Executive Director Anna Hakobyan attends 4th Tshakhruk International Music Festival

This year, Gosh village of Tavush Province hosted the 4th annual Tshakhruk International Inclusive Festival of National Music for Persons with Special Needs.

Wife of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Executive Director of the “My Step” Charitable Foundation Anna Hakobyan participated in the festival held under the title “Physical possibilities are worth nothing without a soaring soul”. Among the guests were Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Narek Mkrtchyan, Prosecutor General Anna Vardapetyan, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Tatevik Stepanyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Daniel Danielyan, Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, as well as guests from Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

The annual Tshakhruk International Festival of National Music was founded by Anna, Anahit and Anush Mkhitaryans, and this year’s festival is different from the previous ones in that this time the students of art schools from all the provinces of Armenia had rehearsed and came out to the stage to perform with the persons with special needs. The Mkhitaryan Sisters mentioned that this is a major achievement since it helped the persons with special needs make new friends and master new skills. Overall, there were 350 performers from Armenia, Syria and Kazakhstan at the 4th Tshakhruk Festival.

Anush Mkhitaryan’s Tshakhruk non-governmental organization has also started working on helping children and youth with physical and mental features to receive education in schools and art centers, are equal to everyone else and are not deprived of the right to receive proper education.

Like last year, this year, the canvas “Soaring Soul 4” was placed next to the stage for those who wished to leave ‘a part of their souls’ on it.
