A spring gift for the residents of Gyumri “Children’s House” orphanage. On the initiative of Anna Hakobyan, the children visited the Yerevan Zoo

On May 2, on the initiative of Prime Minister’s wife Anna Hakobyan, the Gyumri “Children’s House” orphanage residents visited the Yerevan Zoo.

Deputy Mayor of Yerevan Sargis Madatyan and head of the Nor Nork administrative district Tigran Ter-Margaryan also joined them to enjoy the day with the children.

21 children from Gyumri had been invited to visit Yerevan Zoo, they toured in the park and fed the animals. The little ones were told how animal care is organized, what animals like to eat or what they like to do.

Lidia Martirosyan, director of the orphanage, told the Prime Minister’s wife about children’s activities and highlighted the importance of such visits. Martirosyan noted that the children visited the Zoo for the first time and it was one of their dreams.

This year the zoo started its operation on May 1. During the year, they plan to install several new cages in the area.

After the park, the children went to the Republic Square, where the music water fountains were turned on especially for the children during the day.
