On March 13 and 14, two extraordinary meetings of the Board of Trustees of the “My Step” charitable foundation were held with two items on the agenda: appointment of a new chairperson and an executive director of the board of trustees.
At the first extraordinary meeting, by the unanimous decision of the members of the board of trustees, the Minister of High-tech Industry of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan was elected as the Chairman of the Board.
The change of executive director of the fund was discussed at the March 14 meeting. Anna Hakobyan was appointed as Executive Director of the Foundation by the recommendation of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees and the unanimous decision of the other members of the Board.
Anna Hakobyan, before her appointment, had left the Board of Trustees at her own request and thus also had left the position of the Board President.
“After the appointment of Mkhitar Hayrapetyan as minister, in order to ensure the uninterrupted implementation of the programs approved by the board of trustees of the “My Step” foundation and promote the effective operation of the fund, it is necessary for me to assume the duties of the executive director of the fund, leaving the position of the chairman of the board and withdraw my membership in the board of trustees. The status of the director will allow me to devote much time to the implementation of the programs and trying this new model also aims at giving a new impetus to the foundation. This will become an additional factor to ensure the visibility, accountability and transparency of our affairs. I am grateful to the Foundation’s Board of Trustees for sharing this vision, for entrusting me with the status of Executive Director, and for Mkhitar Hayrapetyan to assume the presidency of the Board of Trustees. Along with ensuring effective implementation of current programs, we will try to launch new strategic programs. I thank all the donors of the fund once again,” Anna Hakobyan commented on leaving the status of the chairman and member of the Board of Trustees and being appointed as the director of the fund.
